Chery DeBose is a new Aglow leader on the Anchorage Evening Team.  She came to know Aglow and Jesus through the State-wide outreach we conducted at the Women's Show in Spring of 1999.  She stopped by the booth and was warmly greeted by our own Teresa Goracke.  She started attending Aglow meetings and is now serving in a leadership capacity with Aglow.  Yeah God!  Outreach works!

In 1999, Aglow ladies joined from around the state to host an Aglow booth at the Alaska Annual Women's Show.  One of the visitors to the booth was Cheryl D., who was introduced to Aglow for the very first time.  She has grown in her Christian faith in a mighty way since that first encounter, and is now serving the Lord as a new officer on the Anchorage Evening Lighthouse Team.  God is so faithful!

"I was new to my area and had not attended church for a long time. Shortly after I moved in, my neighbor put a sign on all the apartment doors inviting us to an Aglow bible study at her home. I have made new friends from Aglow and really enjoy the bible study. Now my son and I regularly attend House of Prayers for all Nations Church, thanks to the friendship and hospitality of my neighbor."  Teresa

"Several years ago I was not attending church regularly. While shopping one day, I met a woman who recommended her church and invited my family to attend. Because of the love and encouragement of this woman from Aglow, we have made Alliance Christian Fellowship our church home since 1993."  Glinda S.

"When I came to Anchorage, I first looked into Women’s Aglow and found the Elmendorf Chapter, they also had a bible study going at the time. During our first three months while we were in transient quarters, I visited the churches some of the Aglow ladies recommended. We settled at Anchorage Christian Center and have remained there since that time (May of 1987)."  Helen H.

"I needed to first 'ground as a woman' and couldn't find a church. Aglow friends prayed with me to find a church and move on in my Christian walk. Aglow opened the door for me to share Christian music at the local fellowship gatherings. I now serve and play music at my new home church, Community Covenant Church."  Amy L.
